The Old Library Theatre

 The resident theater company of the Fair Lawn Recreation Department

Come and be part of The Old Library Theatre.  Join as a member, volunteer for our staff or crew.  We need anyone who can assist with the mounting of a show.  Can’t paint...we need costumers, dressers, props, builders, people to sell refreshments, tickets and ad (or take ads), in short there is always something for you to do if you are interested in being part of a Fair Lawn tradition.  Next year will be our 40^th Anniversay year and we want to give the people of Fair Lawn the kind of entertainment they have come to expect from our company, in the convenience of their hometown.

Since the closing of our theater building and during the construction of the new Fair Lawn Recreation Community Center the Fair Lawn Senior Center was gracious enough to share their space with our company.  We will be forever grateful to the staff of the Senior Center and the seniors of Fair Lawn for their kindness in sharing their space with us and being a faithful audience for the last three seasons.  Without the generosity of our friends at the Center our company could have disappeared, as so many companies do when they lose the space with which their audience is familiar.  Additionally, we are grateful to all our loyal audience members who kept us going when it seemed we would never be back in a theater.  We will continue to offer outstanding entertainment at affordable prices.

In the past few years we have donated to organizations in need of funds i.e. The March of Dimes, Greyhound Rescue, The Mary Ann Collura Fund and The Actors Home in Englewood to name just a few.  We will continue with our efforts to contribute to local organizations and scholarship programs.

Our season will begin with NUNSENSATIONS!! The Vegas Review. The little Sisters of Hoboken are at it again. They have been promised a sizeable donation to their school if they would perform at a Las Vegas lounge. Come see what happens when five nuns try to be Vegas show girls....in habits!
